Committee Chairman - Mark Meyer
Mark Meyer has been involved in Scouting since joining Cub Scouts in 1965. His Scouting journey has primarily been with Arrowmoon District of the Sam Houston Area Council. He earned his Eagle Scout rank in 1976 while in Troop 976.
Mark's adult roles in Scouting have been diverse. He was an active leader in Pack 976, serving as a Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Den Leader, Cubmaster, Roundtable Staff, Unit Commissioner, and Day Camp Director. He helped revive Troop 976 as Chartered Organization Rep and Committee Chairman when his son bridged into Boy Scouts. Mark also led Troop 100 as a Girl Scout leader for his daughter.
During a year in Connecticut, Mark served as Assistant Cubmaster for Pack 76 in the Connecticut Rivers Council. He continues to contribute as Assistant Cubmaster for Pack 62, supporting his grandson. In Troop 977, he started as an Assistant Scoutmaster and now serves as Committee Chairman.
Mark grew up with the Scouting ideals strongly ingrained in him and sees that as an excellent foundation to teach and nurture young people into becoming good leaders for our future.
